Dr. Richard Asks some important questions of interest to Anchorage residents - Chiropractor Anchorage Dr. Richard Asks...

Are aches and pains good or bad?
While aches or pains may be unpleasant, they're merely warning signs. As a Anchorage chiropractor, I see this all the time. The pain is not the problem! It just means a limitation has been reached and something needs to change. That's when we get to work correcting the underlying cause.
Can a chiropractor heal?
There's never been a case in which a doctor (chiropractor or otherwise) has formed scar tissue, mended a broken bone or cured a headache. Only you can do that. Turns out you're the doctor! All I do is help remove interferences to your body's healing ability. Ready to get started? Call our office today.

Anchorage Chiropractor, Dr. Richard Tieszen

Anchorage chiropractor, Dr. Richard TieszenDr. Richard Tieszen is a 1998 graduate from Northwestern College of Chiropractic in Bloomington, MN.  Dr. Rich hails from a large chiropractic family and is a 5th generation chiropractor.  In total there are 22 Doctors of Chiropractic in his extended family.  Being around chiropractors and getting treated early was a big influence in pursuing this wonderful career path.

My Philosophy

"Going on my 11th year of practice, my goal is to address the patient, not just the symptoms that they present with when they come into the office.  Together with the chiropractic adjustment we are also interested in what people eat, their daily lifestyles, sleep patterns and exercise.  When these aspects are effectively evaluated and implicated in people's lifestyles, health and vitality tends to flow naturally.  Our focus then is a more proactive approach to health rather than a reactive approach, or true health care rather than sick care.

We treat young and old and we modify our techniques to fit people of all ages and walks of life. We also feel it is important for all infant's to be checked by a chiropractor after the traumatic birth process.  We know that ensuring children's spine and nervous system are functioning at their best, not only contributes to their overall growth and development, but will produce a much healthier adulthood.

On a Personal Note...

In my spare time I enjoy being with my wife, Karie.  You will also find me outside hiking, running or biking.  While out and about you may find me with a camera as I enjoy the challenges of photography.  When time permits, Karie and I like to travel to new places and explore the local culture in and around Anchorage

I look forward to meeting you and learning how we may be of service to you.  Give our Anchorage office a call, or email me using the link below and let's arrange a time to explore how we can help you move towards better health."
